The EP is the first official release for recent YouTube smashes - 8 million cumulative views and counting - like "Not Gonna Wait" and "If U Love Me." "People from the US, UK, Mexico, India, Japan and more have reached out to me on Twitter and Facebook after seeing my videos," the LA-based artist says. "It's amazing to see that my songs have found their way to so many places."
Ahead of the EP, BAKER has already attracted attention from Billboard.com and MTV Buzzworthy, who named him their "newest pop obsession" and said his music "will find its home in da club, as well as on every pop radio station ever."
Producers on the EP include Damon Sharpe (Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue), The Young Boyz (Leona Lewis, Bow Wow), Greg Ogan (Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson), and Eric Sanicola from RedOne (One Direction, Lady Gaga). Standout tracks include "Overload," a track about losing yourself in the addiction of sound, and the futuristic "If U Love Me," which Baker worked on with Sharpe and Sanicola.
BAKER recently finished filming a new video for "Overload" and played full-band shows at LA's Viper Room and NYC's Studio at Webster Hall, with more dates to come in 2013.
