“Uplifting and Inspiring” Debut (Entertainment Tonight), Live at The Mint, 8.02

LA’s Alisha Zalkin will channel her diverse musical roots at LA’s The Mint on August 2nd, performing cuts from her debut EP ‘March To a Different Beat.’

Alisha’s soulful, piano-driven narratives combine her big-voiced inspirations, like Celine Dion and Whitney Houston, with her family’s multicultural musical history: her Jewish grandmother’s love of opera and the mariachi her Mexican grandmother exposed her to as a child.

Zalkin’s EP – released on June 19th – was praised by Entertainment Tonight who said it “stands as a testimony to her ethnically diverse and intriguing past” and called it “uplifting and inspiring.” (http://tinyurl.com/7wxsgzs)
