TuneCore To Provide A Six Week Commercial Radio Marketing And Promotion Campaign For A TuneCore Artist Directed By UNLEASHED MUSIC
 
TuneCore has teamed up with UNLEASHED MUSIC, led by Columbia, Hollywood and Virgin Records former radio promotion head Geordie Gillespie, to market and promote an unsigned TuneCore Artist's single to commercial radio in January. On December 15th, 2009, the promotion team at UNLEASHED MUSIC will select the artist for a six-week campaign.

The selected artist will have all the expenses picked up by TuneCore to have a promotional CD single manufactured and mailed to the stations aswell as digitally delivered via the industry standard delivery service PlayMPE.com.

The commercial radio format targeted will be consistent with the style and genre of the music.

Gillespie is former VP of New Music and Rock Radio Promotion for Sony, Virgin and Hollywood Records. Gillespie created and managed radio promotion campaigns for THE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, FIONA APPLE, JAMIROQUAI, GORILLAZ, DOVES, BRMC, AT THE DRIVE IN, A PERFECT CIRCLE, FATBOY SLIM, BREAKING BENJAMIN, THE POLYPHONIC SPREE, ELEFANT and many more. He has also promoted LENNY KRAVITZ, MICK JAGGER, RICKY MARTIN and HILARY DUFF. Most recently he has been involved with the promotional campaigns of AMY WINEHOUSE and ARCTIC MONKEYS.

The artist will receive the standard reporting from UNLEASHED MUSIC regarding any station feedback and/or play they are getting. In addition, via the TuneCore iTune's Trending Sales Reports, radio play will be tracked against music sales in any market to show the sales impact of the radio play.

To select the band, the promotion team at UNLEASHED MUSIC will listen to music by TuneCore Artists. Every "unsigned" band is eligible to be selected. An artists TuneCore Media Widget (free to make at TuneCore) can also be emailed mediawidget@unleashedmusic.com for consideration.
