Bob Childs, the craftsman behind the choir of fiddles in Childsplay, says the goal on the group's new album 'Waiting for the Dawn' (out June 23rd) is to "bridge the worlds between the old style and the new by making intricate harmonies much more complex and ultimately more interesting."
One stunning example of this is their cover of U2's "Mothers of the Disappeared," from the famed 1987 album 'The Joshua Tree,' which Childsplay seamlessly blends with "The Evenstar," an original solo composition by violinist Hanneke Cassel.

Childsplay's founder is Bob Childs and the beautiful fiddles he crafts unify this unique family of over two dozen musicians from different stylistic backgrounds. 'Waiting for the Dawn' is the first album to incorporate vocalists into Childsplay's music, who play as an ensemble with a vocalist for the first time.
