TuneCore And IK Multimedia To Give Away 500 Copies Of Mastering Suite Software, T-RackS 24

TuneCore, the music industry model-changing delivery and distribution service, announces today a promotional partnership with music software creator IK Multimedia to give away 500 copies of their T-RackS 24 software, each one a $200 value. T-RackS 24 is a stand-alone analog mastering suite for Mac or PC that includes four powerful processors: EQ, compressor, limiter, and soft-clipping output stage: everything you need to create superb, CD-quality tracks on any desktop.

The first 500 customers who have an album paid for delivery to any of TuneCore's digital retailers after midnight Eastern time, Wednesday, June 13, 2007, will receive a serial number (limit one per account) that will permit one free download, for Mac or PC, of the T-RackS 24 mastering suite from the IK Multimedia Web Site. All TuneCore customers, past, present and worldwide, are eligible.

TuneCore founder Jeff Price says, "It's a natural fit: T-RackS helps musicians achieve a professional sound, and TuneCore delivers their music to the top stores, for sale on the same shelves as any artist while taking none of the money from the sale of music, no rights to the masters in a non-exclusive agreement that can be cancelled at any time. This promotion is aligned with our philosophy of serving artists and providing the tools they need to create music and get it out into the world. The line between 'professional' and 'amateur' is being erased by technology, and TuneCore's distribution is the next link in that evolution. We're pleased to be able to offer top-quality software to our clients to make that dream a reality."

"IK's philosophy has always been musicians first," says Gary Kerzner, Managing Director of IK Multimedia. "We are dedicated to helping musicians find easy and affordable ways to create their music, and now through TuneCore they have access to an excellent avenue for getting their music heard, promoted, and sold. Together, IK and TuneCore provide everything you need to complete the music life cycle, from production to distribution. This is definitely the start of a great long-term relationship."

About TuneCore: TuneCore.com, the new music delivery and distribution service has changed the 100-year-old rules and model of the music business. It is a low, flat fee service that delivers music to iTunes, eMusic, Rhapsody and many other major download sites while taking no rights and no revenue from the sale of the music. TuneCore's fees are simply based upon the number songs delivered and the number of digital retailers it will be delivered to. With Nielsen SoundScan already reporting almost 200 million digital units sold this year (and those are just the ones they are counting), it is no wonder that artists are building careers, selling significant volumes of music and generating more revenue than most "signed" artists while keeping their rights utilizing the new model created by TuneCore.

About IK Media: IK Multimedia is a computer music technology company that offers a diverse range of affordable and easy-to-use music production tools with great sound quality and a realistic look and feel. With over half a million installations worldwide, the IK range has been adopted by musicians of every level, from beginners to professionals, to gain access to high-end, studio-quality gear from their computers.
