I am 26 and had never left the country. I know, crazy…right? How could someone go this long in their life and never travel to a distant land? Well, I don’t know…it just happened.
But alas! Last week I took a handful of my vacation days and finally took the dive and crossed the U.S. border into a foreign land…CANADA! Of course I went to Niagara Falls, appreciated their majesty and took a bajillion pictures, but it was my trip to Toronto that really stuck with me. Mainly because Toronto ROCKS.
It reminded me of my home neighborhood in Brooklyn, only with double the thrift stores, all of which boasted piles of guitars…
They have record stores on what seems like every block!
And a live music scene that CANNOT be missed!
Every antique store had their fair selection of record players…
…and creepy guitar-playing robots!
And their restaurants even had rock n roll cuisine! MMM.
