I just returned from a week in Rome. It was glorious!
When I initially told SFM staffers where I was headed, I received unanimous feedback that it was among everyone’s favorite destinations. History buff Mark Satlof was jealous – and given his recent expedition to Williamsburg, VA following my trip – I anticipate Rome is in the cards for his next trip, Rebecca Shapiro told me about how she got engaged in Rome – while on family vacation, Jon Bleicher was inspired by an early childhood trip to study art history in college, Madelyn Frascella spent a semester abroad there and Marilyn Laverty gave me explicit directions on where in the city I was to purchase a pair of authentic Italian leather gloves – a must have for every lady in the city.
It marked the first in what I hope to be many adventures overseas and without giving away too many of the stories that I’ll share with my family and the in-laws (all of whom are descending on my BK apartment for Thanksgiving!), here are a few photographic memories of my trip.

Me & my husband Chris Zembower at the Piazza Navona which was built on the site of the Stadium of Domitian and features a Tabacchi shop carrying Cuban cigars.

I went to Segatori to find gloves but I was mistaken.... Ms. Laverty had directed me to Sermoneta .... and all they had at Segatori were hats - I didn't need a hat.
